A proof-of-concept and coding template to show insurance vendors how simple it is to create a web application that communicates with the ChoicePort web services.

Project Highlights

  • ChoicePort is a series of .NET Web Services designed to facilitate connectivity with insurance carriers to provide carrier questions, quoting, and policy issuance for service integrators.
  • I designed and developed a prototype, in ASP.NET using C# and XSLT's, to demonstrate the flexibility and ease of using the web services.
  • Various .NET classes were developed in C# to provide utilities for calling and transforming the ACORD-compliant XML data returned by the web services, logging XML to text files, and handling errors.
  • The ASP.NET web application was built around an OO model to allow each ASPX page to inherit different classes based on its intended use.
